YES Art Works
YES Art Works provide artistic experiences and opportunities to individuals with disabilities, promoting personal growth through the development of self-esteem, self-confidence, and independence. We strive to support participants in their quest to become working artists, and promote their work as an emerging and increasingly important contribution to the contemporary art world.
Situated within our five Community Services locations, each studio boasts:
industrial grade ceramic kilns for pottery firing and electric wheels
woodworking centers
textile centers
mosaic glass cutting
painting: oil, acrylic, watercolor
drawing workshops
the ability to incorporate art mediums of interest to participating artists
Art produced for this program is specifically purposed for sale. 100% of all sales go directly back to the artist, generating income for folks who, by and large, operate with limited disposable income. Art can be purchased at each of our Community Services and administrative locations, as well as in the community.
Our artists and their works have been prominently featured in fine venues such as Maine Medical Center, Coffee By Design, The Hay Building, Southern Maine Medical Center, the Knitting Nook, and CIA Cafe.
Shows
In addition to themed/specialty shows, our YES Artworks art is on display and available for purchase at Elevate Cafe, Old Orchard Beach and Robin’s Confections, Biddeford.
